The Project is about becoming the person God always intended me to be, the person I am, but for all the unhealthy things I learned. In August 2010, my counselor, at that time, asked me to write the book I wish I’d had when I started counseling. He was my third counselor, to date. I took the challenge, and The Project is the result. It’s time to unlearn the unhealthy habits, and begin learning healthy habits. These are some of the tools I’ve come to realize are essential to a healthy foundation. Sometimes, I become so busy simply making it through each day, I forget to look back and see the progress I’ve made. And I have made progress. I’m not the person I used to be, and that’s an accomplishment to be celebrated. I hope something in my journey helps you in yours.

Please be respectful. I endeavor to give credit where credit is due. I understand that other’s have their own opinions and perspectives. That does not give anyone permission to belittle, degrade, or verbally abuse others. If you don’t like my perspective and conclusions, I have no problem with disagreements, as long as they are stated in a respectful manner. That being said, this is my story. If you don’t like it, no one is forcing you to visit or stay, let alone comment. If I find a comment unacceptable, I will edit it or delete it. If you still want your voice heard, write your own story in your own space. You never know who might be looking for exactly what you have to say.
