Good News Friday

*Movies I enjoyed, this week: “Rudy” “Farmer Seeking Love” “Dreamer” “Soul Surfer” “Seven Days in Utopia” “The Christmas Collision” “A Very Country Christmas”

*Much cooler some days, low 90s. Yay

*Honeynut squash is like a butternut squash for one. Delicious, especially with butter, brown sugar, pumpkin spice, rosemary, and ham

*Joy! Joy! Joy! For the first time since summer started, the morning outside temperature was lower than what I keep my thermostat at. September has been true to the promise of coming fall. Yes, we still have days over 100, but the mornings are cooling down. Thanks God.

*Enjoyable stories

*Church

*Time with friends

*Blessed rain with no loss of power, despite the thunder and lightning. Thanks God.

*Going for a walk in a lovely, cool morning

*Cooler temps mean I took down the space blanket blocking the sun from my kitchen window. I put it up as needed, in the afternoons, when the sun shines in that window. It’s lovely to have the light coming inside.

*Rise Up Bakery’s maple bacon cinnamon roll, cookies, and Country White bread

*Midweek Gospel study at church

*Lows, in the morning, are lower than what I keep the house at. Love it!

*God’s grace

What was something good in your week?

  1. Great list. The temps are lower here also! YAY! Have a great weekend.

    • Thanks. Yay! You, too! πŸ™‚

  2. – We have had three nice mornings in a row here also!
    – Pretty skies at sunrise and sunset.
    – I passed 16,000 on my gratitude list (counting since the fall of 2017).
    – A few times this week when I knew God was speaking to me about different things. (Through sermons or through something I read.)
    – I had a good laugh yesterday. It’s not often that I truly laugh like that. It felt good.
    – I got my car back.
    – I was nervous about a meeting, but God got me through it.
    – Progress made on our new home. They brought 11 loads of dirt to level out the slope. And we were told the house should be there on the 28th.

    • -Lovely! *Gorgeous -Well done. *Awesome – πŸ˜€ *Yay! *Blessing! -Woohoo!

  3. Our nights have been cool enough to require a cotton sheet on the horses. But the days have been so nice no more humidity and lots of sunshine. This week I not only rode my horse but had a short lesson and did trot and canter work for the first time in 3 months. Have a good weekend Judy!

    • Fall is here. πŸ™‚ I’m so happy for you! You, too.

  4. I have always enjoyed “Rudy.” It’s heartwarming and turns up the emotions of the viewer. My wife and I have been staying active watching grandson and granddaughter competing in high school soccer. I’m definitely ready for autumn’s arrival.

    • It’s an inspiring story of determination. Have fun! Looking forward to Autumn colors and cooler temperatures. πŸ™‚
