Good News Friday

*A few years ago, I begged my dad to let the lantana bushes grow; he called them weeds, but he let them grow. They’re bee, butterfly, and hummingbird food. This past week a kaleidoscope (rabble) of butterflies, light yellow, bright yellow, orange, orange and black and more fluttered around the bushes. Beautiful. Thanks Dad for putting up with the weeds. Maybe God sent them to remind me that my life is still beautiful.

*My sister brought P.Croissant for breakfast and kept me company while the grand piano was moved out of the house. She’s been a rock.

*P.Croissant plain croissant and hot chocolate with whipped cream

*A dear friend sent me Donny Osmond’s newest CD “Start Over.” A timely and thoughtful gift.

*Another dear friend, on the other side of the country, spent an evening searching online for homes for sale for me, and another has been posting possibilities throughout the week. I’m so blessed.

*Visit from childhood friends, reconnecting

*An encouraging visit from another dear friend

*My sister’s help

*God has sent so many angels.

*My sister took me shopping at my favorite store; however, they’re working on the parking lot so no lights were on. As we tried to put the groceries in the car, without light, a jeep on the other side of the aisle turned on their headlights and waited until we finished before heading on their way. Whoever you are God bless you. Thank you.

What was something good in your week?

  2. I love all that you shared. It shows how God’s goodness is stronger than the battles we face. In my week some good things were: eating lunch with a friend, hubby changed the kitchen faucet so I now have a spray nozzle, unexpected guests for dinner one night (and I didn’t get frazzled!), submitted a devotion into a “challenge” that a writer group was having, sister-in-law who is in the hospital with COVID seems to be improving.

    • Yay for lunch with a friend; one of my favorite things. Bless hubby! Good for you not getting frazzled and submitting a devotional. God bless your SiL.

  3. Wow ! You are lucky enough 🙂🙂🌹
