Post on SM

Anxiety is a constant companion, the hazards of a survivor. When the abuse goes on year after year, with no end in sight it’s difficult to believe it will ever end. I work hard to build and fortify my faith. Some days, I enjoy the brief success of hardly noticing the anxiety at all. More days than not, the temptation to crawl into bed and pull the covers over my head is a battle. I try to remember that God’s strength is made perfect in my weakness, my only hope. I don’t understand how that works, but God is worthy of my trust.
