When things go wrong, as they often do, do I blame God? Not for a long time. Bad things happen, like the bees that decided to come down the bathroom vent. I’m not a fan of spray poison, but I’m less of a fan of being stung. I was outnumbered 10 to 1. Rattled me, badly. Doesn’t change the truth that God is good. I have no idea what God wanted me to learn, maybe it was as simple as remembering He is good or maybe it was to remind me that I’m capable of handling whatever comes my way. Perhaps it was to get my blood pumping and remind me to keep my sense of humor in good working order.

  1. Yikes! (About the bees!) 😬 My mother always takes things personally, when something goes wrong. And I have adopted this mindset, asking why me or why this had to happen. Even with seemingly small things. I am trying to work on changing my mindset. But it isn’t easy to take every thought captive. Thank you for sharing this perspective. It is encouraging and helpful! ❤️

    • Been there, done that. 🙂 A desire to change is a good start and learning to change the question. Why me became why not me, and why did this have to happen to what am I supposed to learn.
