Week 2 of Count it all Joy

A friend gave me a gift of quote cards “A Box of Blessings: Promises from God for Women.” I thought this one was a perfect opener, for this week:

There is not one blade of grass, there is no color in this world that is not intended to make us rejoice. ~ John Calvin

Psalms 16:11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

I memorized this song, years ago. Last year, I realized I didn’t remember it anymore. It’s one of the first that came back to me. I’ve added it to my repertoire of morning walk songs. This only gives you the 1st and 3rd verses. Rogers and Hammerstein’s “Oh What a Beautiful Morning” :

We’ve had some gorgeous sunrises and sunsets, which always brings a smile from the inside out.

I love taking nature pictures. Clouds fascinate me:

  1. I am not sure if I have ever actually seen Oklahoma. I will have to make a point to watch it. I loved the quote you shared. And I too love sunrises and sunsets.

    • Some musicals are great, while others not so much. My dad minored in music, so it figured prominently.
