SM series Step 14

My third counselor was accustomed to working with clients for six months and done. Every visit, he’d ask me if we were finished. No. I had so many questions. My life was a mess. I’d tried to fix it. I tried church, prayer, bible study, self-help books, classes, seminars, television shows, anything I could think of, but I was stuck. With my third counselor, I knew he knew things I needed to learn. Saying no came in handy. Step 14 : Fight for you, be your own advocate. No one knows you better than you. Use what you know, no matter how little it feels like, because it’s more than anyone else.
