This Week in Beauty…

Proverbs 31:17 She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.

This is about being physically healthy. Oops. I’m lousy at this but working to improve. My definition of being physically healthy encompasses exercising, drinking water, sleeping, and eating.

My physical exercise is the most consistent of the three. Every time I injure myself, I simply start over. If it rains, I figure out a workout for inside.

Drinking water is a habit I developed decades ago. I’ve had kidney trouble all my life, and drinking water keeps those problems at bay.

My sleep routine is the next most consistent. Every once in a while, I cannot sleep, so I read. However, I keep working to go to bed about the same time and wake up around the same time, every day.

Eating. Sigh. The bane of my existence…is it that bad? Yeah, sometimes, it is. Even so, I haven’t given up. I keep trying to improve. Eating all the fresh veggies worked for a few weeks, but this week, I lost two zucchini and some mushrooms to mold because I left them untouched too long. Fruit has become a permanent habit, with my breakfast smoothie/shake. A step up.

And I circle around again: I don’t have bad self-discipline. Something of which I must remind myself on a regular basis. It’s easy to harp on what I’m doing wrong. I’m not oblivious. However, the berating doesn’t change anything. Focusing on what I’m doing right actually helps it to creep into every aspect of my life.

  1. Exactly Judy! We can beat ourselves down for the things we get wrong, or lift ourselves up for the things we get right. Each will get a result 🙂

    • Sometimes tough to step back and see the long-term possibilities, but I’m learning. 🙂

  2. Great attitude & lovely flower🌺

    • Thanks. 🙂
