Meme Debunking

“When God pushes you to the edge of difficulty trust Him fully because two things can happen: He’ll catch you when you fall, or He’ll teach you how to fly.” Other variations exist including building wings on the way down but all have the same premise.

A third option exists, one with which I’m intimately familiar:

I fall on my face, in the mud.

God doesn’t see a problem with this.

Death is not a problem in His eyes.

Why is the third an acceptable and perhaps even the preferred possibility?

On my face, in the mud, is where I learned God wouldn’t allow me to fall into the abyss. He would be my firm foundation. It’s only here that He is able to plant me so I can grow.

  1. Wow Judy how true this is đŸ™‚ I find myself in the mud, facedown often. As you said it is acceptable because God is always there, working for our good. Praise the LORD

    • Welcome to the garden. đŸ™‚ Amen.
