I’m back…

I spent the previous week on an adventure. I flew into Atlanta. A friend I’ve known on line for years picked me up and took me home to share lunch with a group of friends I chat with almost every day. It was delicious and delightful.

She passed me off to one of my LOTR friends. We drove into Tennessee, spent the night, and continued on to Kentucky. We enjoyed several days in our version of the Shire, at the Pleasant Hill Shaker Village. My cold was mostly over, but I was still coughing. I slept a lot and read. I did attend the dinner events. It was cold! LOL!

On Sunday, we headed to Lexington. On Monday morning, it was 27 degrees! We waited a couple of hours, until it was up to 37, and went to the Lexington Horse Park. I wanted to see the new statue of Reckless, a remarkable mare that served in Korea. I’ll be buying the book about her.

We visited with LOTR friends who live close by, eating at a little restaurant called Josie’s. Delicious.

We continued our adventure to Townsend and toured Cade’s Cove on Tuesday morning. I have pictures of deer. LOL!

We returned to Georgia and passed me back to my friend who picked me up at the airport. I spent the evening with her and her husband. She returned me to the airport early Wednesday morning.

Shout out to the awesome food at Josie’s, Giorgio’s Family Kitchen, and Santino’s. My thanks to TSA for being so “painless” both ways. LOL!

  1. Nothing at all like a little adventure ~ I think Bilbo said something like this to Frodo šŸ™‚ Wish you a great, warm, springtime šŸ™‚

    • LOL! “It’s a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don’t keep your feet, there’s no knowing where you might be swept off to.” I went on an adventure! Thank you kindly. May you be blessed on your adventures. šŸ™‚

      • šŸ™‚ The wisest words spoken. I need to watch the trilogy again… šŸ™‚ Take care, Judy and wish the same to you.

        • It’s been too long since I last watched. Putting it on my list of things to do. šŸ˜€ Thank you.
