He stirred a memory in me, one I cherish to this day:
I remember a special needs bag boy. I shopped at that store so I could see him. I still do, though he’s long since moved away. I cried when he moved. I still miss his smile and his joyous greeting. I knew his name at the time and used it, but I’ve forgotten all these years later. I will always remember the light in his eyes, his joy of living, his acceptance of his life. I learned so much from him.
Some people only touch on the periphery of your life, and yet they change your life forever. But only if you let them. Let them.
Yes. This so important to let them touch us.
