Feeling forgotten

Over on the Mustard Seed Blogs, Jill McIlreavey touched on something I’ve been pretending doesn’t exist. I’m afraid of what I’ll find if I look closely.

“Oh, my soul.” The Casting Crowns song speaks to my heart as did this post. I know I’m not forgotten, but I’m feeling very much like I’m sitting in a dark room with no noticeable way out. A part of me thinks that God is whispering, “Wait and trust Me,” as He often does with me. I’m afraid I’ll miss His voice when He calls me to take the step forward, into the light. What if I’m busy? Being busy quiets unwanted thoughts but also makes it difficult to notice when God nudges me. I’ve often joked that God needs to use a 2 x 4 to gain my attention. And then God inspires a blogger or someone on FB to post exactly the reminder I need.

This is the story behind “Oh My Soul”:

This is the song:

  1. I’m not good on the subject of faith. I do hope He can give you some comfort. 🙂 🙂

    • Thank you kindly. ❤

  2. Great video and post. Thanks 🙂

    • You’re welcome. 🙂
