No Brain

Allergies have taken over my life. The weather is the chief cause. It’s been unusually windy for May, more like March weather.

There was the recent excitement of hitting a high of 108 degrees and dropping to a high of 72 degrees within 48 hours. It roasted my blackberries only to return to the perfect temperature for the blackberries, too late. They’re lost, for the third year in a row. God bless farmers. They deal with this vagary year after year.

Allergy medicine makes it so I can breathe but sends my brain on vacation without me. If I want to breathe, I take the medication. I have the attention span of a gnat. I sleep more, but it isn’t restorative sleep. My voice comes and goes. *cough, cough, cough* Maddening.

The good news? It doesn’t last.

In the meantime, I’m not beating myself up for not accomplishing much of anything. Hopefully, today will be more productive.
