A bit of inspiration…

…and pertinent to tomorrow’s post. Interestingly enough, I found the article posted on FB after I wrote tomorrow’s post. My sister and I talk about this on a pretty regular basis.

The author, Michael Hidalgo, posted September 10, 2013, says it well. Funny how something written 2-1/2 years ago shows up when I need it. Thanks God.

  1. That’s interesting because when I went regularly to AA, people would tell me God didn’t give me more than I could handle, and I thought that was a pile of baloney. I was given more than I could handle (and I’m not pinning this on god), which was why I developed such crappy coping mechanisms. I wasn’t handling things well at all.

    • My sister and I agreed long ago that God has no problem with seeing you broken. In the Bible Jesus states He wants us to come to Him with a broken and contrite spirit. I had to learn to accept and have faith in His ability to heal with a touch. Ruth’s favorite way of putting it is: “Does it matter you’re broken, if God heals you the moment He touches you?” I still feel broken in areas of my life, but other areas are definitely whole again.
