What was something good in your week?

  1. That carmel apple croissant sounds so delicious. This post has an excited feeling to it….seems like your creative juices are flowing nicely!

    • It is delicious. ๐Ÿ™‚ Yes, I’m excited. “Just Friends” will be published soon. Hopefully, “Second-hand Samhane” not long after. Feels good.

  2. Love the title “Second-hand Samhane”! ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Sounds like we have a winner. Whew. ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Bet it must feel great to have a new chair. I’ve been contemplating doing the same thing, but am overwhelmed by too many choices. I’m so short I always have to find one that can be brought down close to the ground, yet still have good pneumatics to allow for some cushioning. Congrats on finding a new piece of writing equipment (hey, it starts with having a comfortable chair)!

    • I have the same problem. This chair is a little taller than I like, but it means I stand and move around more, which is actually a good thing. It is, however, much more comfortable than any of my previous chairs when I put my feet up, which is more important than I realized.

      • Are you able to put your feet up, and also write at the same time? I’ve never actually found a chair that was comfortable when my feet were elevated, other than a recliner. But I’m no good at typing with a keyboard on my lap. In any case, I’m glad you find it to be comfortable, and that it helped remind you to put your feet up sometimes. Always good to make a few changes, even small ones, especially when you can immediately see the benefit.

        • I can’t type, but I do have pen, paper, and a clipboard. ๐Ÿ™‚ Sometimes, I use it as an opportunity to read or color. Sometimes, it’s simply an opportunity to sit and think, review what I’ve done so far, think about what comes next. Learning to make the best of what I have.

          • Sometimes with acceptance, comes opportunity. I can’t explain why it happens that way, but I’ve seen it happen again and again that when I finally accept, and truly and freely step into acceptance, that is often the moment that the very situation I’m accepting changes. As if I have to move through acceptance in order to finally make room for opportunity.

I really miss pen and paper. My hands just don’t allow me to write so much anymore, but there was a time that I practically worshiped the sound of the pen moving across the blank page. As the color was laid down, there were truths being told. It was really liberating. I hope your writing does that for you, too. It not only gives you an outlet, and maybe an income, but it gives you a place to safely speak the truth. Layer by layer. Pen across paper.

            • The stories are coming more easily. I like the feel of the pen gliding over the paper. I’m able to shift my mood from anxious to calm, to a degree, by shifting how I write. You’re quite the wordsmith. It an honor to read.
