Good News Friday

I participated the Arizona Dreamin’ Convention for the first time as an author instead of a reader. I can’t remember the last time I did the “go, go, go!” If I wasn’t giving a presentation, then I was preparing for one or participating in someone else’s. I slept about 5 hours a night. I enjoyed the company of others I didn’t know well more than I ever have. Glad I did it.

Evan Sanders’ Words of Encouragement about Moving On:

I collected one of each of my books, signed it, and mailed it to Authors Supporting Our Troops, something I promised myself to do months ago when I read about it. I didn’t have any paperbacks to donate at the time; now I do.

My writing friends “ambushed” me at P.croissant. I was hoping they would. It gave me an opportunity to babble about the convention with wonderful people who have worked to help me develop my brand and encouraged my writing from the perspective of struggling with similar problems. Validating.

What was something good in your week?

  1. I’m so glad the conference was a positive experience for you! And I hope you get new fans from your book donation!

    • Thanks, Judith. 🙂

  2. Oh, and my good news this week was that 3 of the things I was stressed over last week turned out ok, including getting a clean bill ultrasound of what my doc thought was a suspicious lump in my armpit. Phew.

    • Hallelujah!
