A bit of inspiration…

This was the weather, last week:

The end of the street is only five houses down.

And this is the back yard:

We don’t often have fog, not even every year, so it’s a bit of a novelty. I enjoyed it, but it also makes me grateful for our sunny days.

  1. We’ve had rain, rain, and more rain, which is very unusual for south Texas. There are days that the humidity is so high, that it feels like rain, even though the sun is shining. Strange weather.

Fog has a way of softening all the sounds of the usual hustle and bustle, so I’ve come to actually enjoy those intermittently foggy mornings. My home is near a nature area that is at a somewhat lower elevation, so there are many mornings that I can sit on my back patio and watch the deer moving through the fog in the underbrush just a short distance away. The fog gives a peaceful and quiet tone to the scene, and it almost feels like time has stopped, even if only for a few hours. Loved the foggy photos. šŸ™‚

    • Yes! Fog lends a hushed sensation, hushed to the eyes and ears. What a lovely way to take a break, watching the deer move through the fog. I can see it in my head. Thanks for sharing.

  2. So pretty!! Very different from where I live. I love the trees in your yard:)

    • Citrus and an ana apple. Thanks. šŸ™‚
