Sharing a post on waiting…

…from over at the human picture:

I suppose if we must wait for a special day to start something — something we know we need to do and isn’t time sensitive — we’re really saying it isn’t important enough to start now. If it isn’t important enough to start now, why start it at all? If it is important enough to start now, why wait?

Interestingly enough, Scott Williams also talked about Timing.

Becoming healthier became a whole lot easier once I realized it wasn’t going to be a quick fix but a life-long project. Once I removed the timetable (FINISH IT NOW!), I was able to explore the nooks and crannies, the little things. It was all right to acknowledge I didn’t know what honor was. I’m unclear about gratitude. I’m allowed to take all the time I need to learn what I want to learn.

And another book cover by Carol Fiorillo showed up:

The last of The Silver Locket Sisterhood series, coming out February 21, 2015.

Samantha Merritt wants a forever relationship, but painful lessons from the past interfere with her ability to trust anyone, including God. Despite her friend’s reassurances ‘this guy is different,’ she refuses the offer of another blind date, until she meets him. Now it’s too late…

Jordan Tyler trusts God to protect him but also believes in doing his part by avoiding people who guarantee extra drama. Accepting a blind date with an abuse survivor is not his idea of a leap of faith, more like a fall into stupidity, until he meets her. Choosing friendship didn’t mean love would follow…

God looks on the heart and sees what mortal eyes do not. Only an All-knowing God would pair a couple who worked so hard to avoid each other. The only thing standing in their way of their own Happily Ever After is them…

  1. My son is a big procrastinator, so I wish he’d see this message.

    Great cover!

    • I struggle with procrastination. I’m afraid of making the wrong decision. Yes, I realize I was taught that kind of insane thinking. I’m working to unlearn it.

      Thank you!

      • Hmmm… reread this, hours later, and it sounds a bit… unfinished. It’s been that kind of day. He’s got a great example in you on learning to push through. I hope he figures it out sooner than later.

  2. “The only thing standing in their way…. is them.” I really like that!

    • Thanks, Patricia.
