Follow up on New Year’s plans…

I’ve been doing a bit of research for a novella I’m writing. I hunted down this year’s New Year’s plans and decided to follow up while I’m at it:

Some of my plans for the new year:

Making my room a haven:

~Moving books downstairs. I keep the books I truly love, the ones I’d like to read again. However, there is only so much time, so I’m going to move the ones I love that I don’t feel the need to read again this year. Maybe later. A lot of books will stay upstairs because I love their covers. It’s okay.

~Use my candles more often.

Yep, I’m doing this, too.

~Sort through piles.

A never-ending project. Having said that, the main pile center is cleared a bit.

~Catch up on reading books that are partially read.

Hmmm… not so much. I have four and a half more months though.

Taking care of me:

~I am worth taking care of in every way.

Still true.

~Exercise is a priority because I feel better when I do it. However, this is currently on hold until the cough is cleared up. It’s okay. I’ll jump right back in, though I know how to start out slow.

Yep, I have a pretty good exercise routine, and I don’t let myself down. I do it.

~I will eat better. I know how to make healthy choices. I know how to eat only until I’m full and save for the next meal.

Still struggle with the eating, but I am doing better.

Teaching my spirit to soar:

~I am learning to let go of the negative thoughts.

I belong to God. Wow. This has been incredibly effective.

~I will learn new ways to renew my spirit.

Hmmm… I’m stumbling over this one in my head, so I’m guessing it needs more work.

~I will implement what I learn.

This is dependent on the previous… I am better about listening to music I find uplifting.

~Three more books scheduled for publishing this year.

Doing. And it’s actually 4 not 3. There’s also a free short story in the works and plans for novellas.

~Write the final four books currently scheduled for publishing.

Scheduled and working on WIPs.

~Develop at least four new book ideas, including Jack’s series.

Wildly exceeded this one.

I’m choosing to look beyond being an ACoN, and all the insanity that entails.

I will always be an ACoN. Nothing will change this.

I’m choosing not to stay in it in my head. I’m choosing to become who I always wanted to be. No more allowing the Ns to drag me down. Kicking and screaming isn’t enough. I didn’t understand that. I have to let go.

I’m actually doing better with this.

This is encouraging.

  1. You have made more progress on your goals in one year than many folks make in a couple of decades…and I know some of them!!! 🙂

    • 😀

  2. Woohoo…progress indeed. 🙂

    • Yep. 🙂

  3. Yay! I hope you’re patting yourself on the back.

    • I’m celebrating with a little dance and plans… oh, the plans…

      • I’m imagining you doing the Snoopy dance 🙂

        • LOL! I’ve always loved that dance and I am soooo not coordinated enough to do it. 😀
