A bit of silliness…

One of the local stations showed an old documentary, Bruce Lee: The Legend. Yep. I’m a fan. At the time his movies were out, I wasn’t allowed to go because I was too young. This didn’t keep me from being impressed by his athletic abilities.

I always wanted to take some form of martial arts. Of course, I didn’t realize the scope of the impossibilities surrounding me.

Hmmm… maybe this isn’t as silly as I thought. Maybe, this was a God wink.

Well, what do you know.

My exercise routine has been slipping this past week. We’ve been blessed with rain, but this also means mold, to which I’m horribly allergic. It leaves me with symptoms similar to the flu. Lucky me.

Watching this documentary, they talked about he didn’t eat well growing up and this persisted into his adult years. As an adult, he began his exercise program, stating that knowing all the correct moves wouldn’t help you win a fight. You have to be physically fit. He developed a workout program and finally a dietary program that worked for him. (Splendidly, I might add.)

I needed the reminder. I am in a battle for my life. In order to survive and thrive (win), I must be willing to do the work, exercise and eat in a healthy manner.


  1. I love watching martial arts in movies and tv. Actually, I wish I could be Buffy the Vampire Slayer. 🙂
