Veteran’s Day…

As I struggle with my own battles, I find strength and courage in the lives of those who serve in the military. “All gave some; some gave all.”

For the past month and a half, I have been privileged to be in a prayer chain for a Wounded Warrior, Andrew. The beginning of October, one of my dear friends emailed me, asking me to add Andrew to my prayer list. She knows Andrew and his family. They’ve been friends for years, and a blessing to them.

Since then, she has faithfully forwarded the letters that this amazing father has sent to those praying for Andrew and their family. He includes specific requests and shares the miracles that have enveloped this family.

When I feel overwhelmed and uncertain, I think of Andrew and his precious family and feel a warmth that only God gives. The faith and courage of these amazing people lifts my spirit and encourages me to keep trying, to hang on a little longer when I feel like giving up.

May God bless all our military men and women, those who have served and those who are serving, and their families.

    • For some reason, the comment is showing up weird, but I clicked on the name, and the site is a beautiful fit to this post.

  2. Thank you for this beautiful reminder. Andrew and his family remain in my prayers too. I am proud to say my family has a long history of veterans who served in war time and that my family was blessed to have no one killed (although many wounded) in action. Blessings to those who keep us safe.

    • Thanks (((Mary Ann))) and to your family, too.
